Koko's complete body of work — 314 dolls spanning decades of artistry, from her earliest signed pieces to her most elaborate showcase creations.
Alongside the finished dolls, Koko left behind a large and wonderfully varied collection of doll-making parts and supplies. It includes doll bodies, parts, and heads; molds; fabric, clothes, and furniture; and vintage books and magazines. This collection has not yet been fully cataloged — the photos below are simply examples to give a sense of what’s available. If anything catches your eye, please inquire if interested!
Koko — Odete Andren — was a master doll artist whose one-of-a-kind creations feature hand-thrown ceramic heads and bodies with meticulously hand-sewn clothing. This collection includes her original works alongside vintage and commercial dolls she collected throughout her lifetime.
Over decades of work, Koko earned wide recognition in the doll-artistry community — including honors as a Master and Grand Master of Dollmaking and top awards from the Doll Artisan Guild, the Greater Phoenix Ceramic & Doll Association, and the Arizona Ceramic Artists Association. The trophies, ribbons, and certificates below represent just a part of a lifetime of craftsmanship.
For many years, Koko ran her own shop and studio in Phoenix, Arizona — Koko’s Doll Fever Shop & Studio. It was part storefront and part working studio, filled with her original dolls, supplies, and treasures for fellow collectors. These photographs capture the shop and its window displays.
